Amy JoAnn Kleymeyer Stevens

Amy JoAnn Kleymeyer Stevens and Seth Stevens, Maren and Sean

Born on October 1, 1979 to Robert and Sandra Kleymeyer in Indianapolis, IN. I am the proud big sister of Matt Kleymeyer. I attended Park Tudor School from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade and then moved to Bloomington, IN to attend Indiana University. I graduated in 2001 with a major in Speech and Hearing Sciences and minors in psychology, business, and Spanish. Instead of continuing on to grad school, I worked for a few years before answering the call to become a teacher. I was accepted into Marian College’s (now Marian University), Transition to Teaching Program and in 2005, I earned my Masters in Arts of Teaching. That same year I married my (IU) college sweetheart, Seth Stevens, and moved to New Castle, Indiana. I started teaching 1/2 day Kindergarten and 1/2 day Art in Greenfield, Indiana and I’ve been teaching various Elementary grades in this same school corporation ever since. Seth and I have a daughter, Maren (9/18/09) and a son, Sean (10/12/12). We are also parents to two twelve year old Labrador Retrievers; Bagheera & Mowgli. I teach a “Yolates” class two times a week at the Henry County YMCA and enjoy competing in obstacle races with my best friends. Our family loves adventure, traveling, celebrating, jeeping, sports (especially Indiana University athletics) and sitting down to home cooked meals a la chef Seth every night.
