Matt was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on 03/22/1982 to Bob and Sandee Kleymeyer, the brother of Amy Kleymeyer and cousin of Ana Maria and Josh Kleymeyer. He is married to Andrea (Speller) Kleymeyer.
Matt grew up in the Carmel, IN and Indianapolis, IN area and have resided there his entire life. He had a successful high school athletic career (Basketball, Football and Baseball), becoming the school’s all-time scoring leader in basketball (a record that lasted more than 10 years before future NBA starter and IU great Yogi Ferrell broke the record). Also was a starting pitcher on a state championship baseball team. He attended DePauw University (Greencastle, IN) for undergrad where he majored in Communications and played basketball, and h earned his MBA (Finance) from Butler University in 2009.
Following graduation, worked in a few different industries from Fundraising (2 years) to Healthcare Real Estate Development (3 years) to currently Healthcare and Employee Benefits (9 years) where he is a Partner at Bernard Health – a leading HR and Benefits consulting and technology
company.
Active in the local community serving on various non-profit boards and committees for The Penrod Arts Society, Meals on Wheels, and will soon be president of the Park Tudor Alumni Association. Even served a stint on the Super Bowl Host Committee board when the city hosted in 2012.
Andrea Kleymeyer was born in Jamestown, ND on 09/04/1983 to Dick and Nancy Speller. Lived in the Dakotas until the 3rd grade when her family moved to Philadelphia where she spent the majority of her youth. During her junior year in High School her family moved again to Greencastle, IN where her dad worked at DePauw University, and she has been a proud Hoosier since. She attended DePauw where she majored in Communications and joined Pi Beta Phi.
Following graduation, Andrea worked in Advertising (3 years) before becoming the Marketing Director of the Indiana Design Center (9 years) where she oversees all aspects of PR, social media, marketing, and tenant relations. When not working or making sure her two boys don’t set the house on fire, Andrea is very involved in various leadership positions at Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, which is highly regarded as the most influential organization creating transformative and sustainable change for women and girls in Central Indiana.
Matt and Andrea are parents to Aiden J. Kleymeyer (3.5 yrs.) and Carter A. Kleymeyer (15 months, and whose initials “CAK” are in honor of his great-grandfather Clifford A. Kleymeyer, Sr.). Currently much of their free time is spent caring for those two young boys and watching the curiosity and excitement of life blossom in their young minds. The couple is also currently in the process of building the home (of brick, by the way) where they will raise their family for many years to come in Carmel, IN.
